Hello and welcome to the Rutgers China Office website!

The new Rutgers Strategic Plan outlines a bold vision for collaboration and partnerships across all disciplines and with academic institutions around the world. The NAFSA Senator Paul Simon Award for Comprehensive Internationalization affirms Rutgers’ deep commitment to international education. Being an integral element of this global engagement, the Rutgers community’s interest in China has grown exponentially in the past decade: more faculty members are engaging in research collaboration with their Chinese colleagues, more Rutgers students are choosing to study in and about China, more Chinese students are applying to Rutgers, and stronger and deeper relationships are being developed between Rutgers and Chinese universities and other partners. This interest is expected to continue as Rutgers deepens its commitment to the internationalization of higher education.

To better serve the increasing interest on China, the Rutgers China Office was established to shape the direction of Rutgers’ engagement with China and to facilitate and assist with various China-related initiatives in a more systematic and consolidated way to reflect Rutgers’ strategic goals globally.

Rutgers aspires to be counted among the finest research universities in the country. “Revolutionary for 250 Years” is Rutgers’ firm commitment to groundbreaking achievements in higher education. The Rutgers China Office will be dedicated to this commitment by promoting international initiatives for the benefit of the Rutgers community in teaching, research, and service to the highest standard.
