2016 Global Supply Chain Management Summit

The grand 2016 Global Supply Chain Management Summit was held at Yiwu on July 23 and last for two days. It’s hosted by School of Management, Zhejiang University, Rutgers Business School, USA, and Yiwu Municipal Government. About 400 well-known specialists and executives from global supply chain enterprises attended the summit.

With the unveiling and implementing of national Internet+ strategy, its concept has deeply affected people’s daily life. The Internet totally changed consumers’ shopping habits. What’s more, it also reversed the traditional commercial and management ways. In the Internet times, how to take advantage of big data, information technology and global resources to boost the supply chain management development became a huge challenge to domestic and international supply chain executives, and also was a common topic that all political, academic and commercial experts have been studying on.
The 2016 Global Supply Chain Management Summit focused on the specific global supply chain phenomenon in the Internet times. More than 20 notable top experts on global supply management study field were attending the venue, as well as over 40 enterprises executives from home and abroad. There were nearly 80 academic scholars from 10 top universities. Shanghai modern service union even sent 100 supply chain executives team to take part in the summit.
Professor Lei from Rutgers Business School, and Professor Wu from Zhejiang University gave a respective speech on How to Build A Sustainable Supply Chain Future and Surpassing C Theory. All experts and academic scholars discussed three topics surrounding global supply chain management, big data and supply chain management, and the specific supply chain management in the Internet times, intending to search for the direction of modern supply chain management going to.
